Wedding Ceremony

Couples planning their wedding often have questions regarding what is and what is not allowed in the ceremony. A general idea to keep in mind is that all appearances and actions should be in good taste. Marriage is a sacred event and our church is a holy place. A wedding should reflect these facts. Decorations shall enhance the ceremony and not impede or distract.

The music during the ceremony should be of a prayerful nature. Pictures may be taken and a wedding may be videotaped provided that the distractions are kept to a minimum. No one other than those participating in the wedding ceremony will be allowed in the sanctuary area.

Any special questions should be discussed with the priest or deacon who is arranging the wedding.
